顧草皮是很麻煩的事，
一不注意就長一堆雜草，
其實媽咪爸比一直對種「能吃的東西」比較有興趣～
春天一到，某天心血來潮，
我們就跟附近鄰居一樣衝去苗圃買菜苗、種子啦！
然後把前院直接改裝成菜園！！～
It's actually pretty troublesome keeping plain grass lawns,
because you get weeds growing very quickly.
We've always been more interested in growing "edible" things!
Since it's spring,
one day Daddy and Mummy were suddenly inspired to rush out and get seedlings and soil from the local nursery!
We converted the front lawn into a veggie patch~
媽咪種了玉米、洋蔥、韭蔥、紅蘿蔔、芹菜、菠菜、萵苣、甜菜等等～～
Mummy planted corn, onions, leeks, carrots, celery, spinach, lettuce, chard etc~~
這是前任屋主留下來的玫瑰～
Here are the roses left by the former owner of the house~
多闢了幾處苗圃，
並用便利袋種了蕃茄、小黃瓜，
灑了蘆筍和一些香菜類的種子～^^
We set up a few extra raised beds,
and used veggie bags to plant some tomato and cucumber seedlings,
as well as some asparagus and herb seeds~
右邊角落是迷你貝和小貝貝的苗～
In the right hand corner are seedlings planted by Benji and Audrey~
迷你貝種了市面上比較沒有在賣的傳家萵苣品種，
小貝貝則種了七株南瓜～
Benji planted some heritage lettuce seedlings,
while Audrey put in seven pumpkin seedlings~
大貝貝則徵收了最中間、日曬最充足的苗圃，
種了一株菠菜，
還播了一些雜七雜八的種子～
Justin appropriated the middle raised bed with the largest sun exposure,
for a single climbing spinach seedling,
as well as various seeds~
並寫了告示牌～～～
And write a notice board~
媽咪用買苗剩下來的小盆子播了一些花、菜種子～
With the leftover seedling boxes,
Mummy tried out some flower and veggie seeds~
這是院子一角的海芋，
越長越茂盛了！～
The calla lillies are blooming!
原本的菜園角落，
但我們覺得這裡日曬太少～
Here is the original veggie patch in the backyard,
which we feel gets too little sun~
這次嘗試用吊掛式種番茄！
Mummy is trying upside-down planting of tomatoes~~
五株蠶豆～～～
Five broad bean plants~
這是一棵很奇異的檸檬樹！
爸比媽咪一直都放任檸檬亂長、亂掉，
因為我們還不知道能拿那麼多檸檬來做什麼！
這兩天阿公阿媽來後，
發現我們家這棵樹結的檸檬竟然不酸，都是甜的！！＠＠
Now here's an amazing lemon tree!
We've been letting the lemons grow, fall off and rot,
and because we never knew what to do with so many lemons!
Then the grandparents came over to visit a couple of days ago,
and discovered that the lemons from our tree are all SWEET!
榨出來的檸檬汁可以直接喝，
連加蜂蜜都不用耶！
我們在猜是不是這邊蜜蜂多，
所以把院子裡的橘子、柳丁跟檸檬給交配了～:P
（爸比汗顏：這幾個月來我已經丟掉上百顆檸檬了捏～～～><）
You can drink the lemon juice directly,
without needing to add even honey!
We speculate whether it's because the bees in the area have crossed the mandarin and navel oranges with the lemons!
(Daddy OS: What a pity I've thrown out at least a hundred lemons these last few months!)
阿媽的興趣就是插花～～
Grandma's hobby is flower arrangement~
三個瓶子就插了三種造型！

通通是我們院子裡四處剪下的花～
All of the flowers came from various places in our yard~
神奇的甜檸檬不但汁是甜的，
竟然連檸檬皮也可以吃，很甜！！
媽咪把皮通通剝下來曬乾，
看看能不能變成某種零食點心！
Not only are our amazing lemons sweet,
even the lemon peels are sweet and very edible!
Mummy peeled them off to dry,
to see whether they can be converted into some sort of snack!
